Up In The Sky

This picture makes me smile right from the start. I enjoy looking at it and have favourtied it because I know that it will make me smile when I need it in the future. I love the whole idea of the little explorer off on his (or her) adventure in such a rush that they forgot their teddy bear. The little bear is so determined not to be left behind that it's high-jacked its own balloon and taken off. It's adorable!!!!!

The one thing that I don't like as much about the work is the extreme light coming into the image directly off the left side of the picture. I don't know what the light is from but it is too much for me. The basket looks completely blown out closest to it and the effect continues up into the baby's face. If it was a little less bright, I think it would be perfect. As it currently stands, the extreme brightness makes the upper right corner and right side of the image seem much darker than they may actually be.

I love the whole concept and think that it is an amazing work. Looking at it just makes me happy. It's great to think that the child is trying to have a balloon like the other people.
